Why should I invest in a portable camping shower?
Bring a touch of luxury on your next camping trip. With a portable outdoor shower, you have the freedom and convenience to shower whenever you want, wherever you want. Out in the bush with no access to hot water? At a busy campground with no real privacy? No problem. Our portable camping showers allow you to set up wherever is convenient for you and enjoy the luxury of a private hot shower. Say goodbye to sharing dirty shower blocks at the camping ground. With your own outdoor camping shower, you can enjoy a hot shower without having to wait in line & wait for the water to heat up, in your own private space.
What do I need for an outdoor camping shower?
Portable showers are essentially composed of a few different components. Firstly, you’ll need a hot water system to convert water input from cold to hot. The KickAss hot water system is perfect for this, as it automatically ignites when water starts flowing and provides instant hot water. Secondly you’ll need a water pump to physically pump water through your hot water system. The pump's capacity ultimately depends on the pressure you want from your shower, and the amount of water you have in your supply. We offer a range of KickAss pumps to suit each person's individual needs, however we typically suggest a 12L pump for a shower. Lastly, you’ll need a shower tent if you want some privacy. The KickAss Shower Tent Awning is a great option that simply mounts to your vehicle, and sets up in just 7 seconds. Now with a hot water system, a pump, and a shower tent, you’re sorted!
How do I set up my portable camp shower?
The main thing you’ll have to consider is your water supply. Are you going to be using water from a bucket, a container, or another source? Whatever you choose, you’ll need to connect this water supply to your pump via the water input hose, and then connect the pump to your hot water system. Keep in mind, if you want to use water from a lake, you’ll need to buy and attach your own filter. You’ll also have to connect your 12v pump to your power source (such as an AGM battery) to physically pump the water. Once your pump and gas are connected to your hot water system, your hot water shower is ready to go!
